UK Visit Visa Refusals

Third Time’s The Charm: Businessman Secures UK Visit Visa After Two Refusals

The applicant is a national of Bangladesh and instructed us to submit a visit visa application. The applicant had 2 previous refusals in 2015 and 2023 and now instructed us to assist with the third application.

The applicant has a business in Bangladesh that has been running for over 10 years. He has business connections with a company in the UK which he has established over the last decade and wanted to visit the UK to further strengthen the relationship. The previous applications were submitted on the same basis but were refused as the Home Office was not convinced of the genuineness of the visit or the business.

We used our cover letter to highlight that the applicant has previously travelled to other countries such as France, Turkey, Thailand, Italy, The Philippines, India, Singapore, Maldives, UAE, China, Malaysia and Nepal. This went towards proving the applicant’s immigration history and that there is a high chance of him returning to his country of origin at the end of his visit.

We provided a letter of support from the UK company confirming the purpose of the visit and the genuineness of the business relationship. The letter also stated that the UK company would be paying for the flights and accommodation.

We went through the applicant’s bank statements in detail and highlighted the salary the applicant receives every month. We also explained any large outgoings and other transactions that the Home Office may deem ‘suspicious.’

We highlighted the applicant’s links to Bangladesh in the form of his business, his wife and child (who were not due to travel with him), and also his mother, for whom the applicant has full financial responsibility.

We also provided a substantial amount of evidence in support of the business, this included the applicant’s personal and business bank statements, tax certificate, managing director share and profit details, payslips, a letter from the relevant bank, proof of property ownership, company income tax certificate, trade license, sales contract, company invoices, shipment receipts and a company manufacturers agreement.

Through the above supporting documents and an extensive and detailed cover letter, we were able to obtain a positive decision, and the applicant was granted a visit visa.
