Yash Dubal is a Director of the firm and Senior Immigration Associate. He is walking proof that people can create successful, prosperous lives in a new country. He came to the UK in 2003 with only £1500. He founded A Y & J Solicitors on the principles of honesty, professionalism, reliability, helpfulness, and approachability. The firm has reached its peak and it is now a Legal 500 law firm and won ‘Best Immigration Law Firm’ in 2018.
Yash cares for both our high-net-worth and business clients. Operating a successful venture himself, he understands the pressures on entrepreneurs, business owners, highly skilled workers, and Investor Visa applicants. Therefore, he works quickly, ensuring all paperwork is meticulously prepared, and takes the time to understand your business. His motto is to find out what success means to you and create a strategy to achieve your ambitions.
Yash also specialises in complex Judicial Review cases and appeals. Clients have said he is “efficient and full of energy; his research skills are unparalleled, and he is an expert on sponsor licences”, and “Yash Dubal is a sharp leader and has an exquisite legal mind”.
Giving back to the community is one of Yash’s passions; he has completed the London Marathon for Pratham, which works to tackle education gaps in India and completed a multi-terrain run to raise money for the British Red Cross. He acts as a mentor for many SME’s regarding obtaining and keeping a UK Sponsor Licence and recruiting the right skilled employees. Furthermore, he regularly speaks at technology events and is an avid reader.

As a Senior Immigration Associate and an immigrant from Romania, Diana appreciates the difficulties facing clients who receive her advice. She has been working in immigration law for over seven years, and she has one simple motto for client care – “Find out what they want to achieve and make it happen”. Diana never gives up and will tenaciously fight for her clients until they get the result they desire.
Being able to think creatively and challenge the Home Office in an accomplished manner are aspects of her work Diana relishes in. Diana speaks Romanian fluently and is conversational in both Italian and Albanian.

Parvez Khan is a Senior Immigration Associate within the firm.
He was admitted as a Solicitor in April 2008 and has great deal of experience in dealing with a wide range of clients and has undertook various immigration matters both for entry clearance as well as in-country application, including Family & Spouse Visas, Human Rights, Settlements, Nationality, EEA applications, Appeals and Judicial Reviews.
He takes a friendly and professional approach to working with clients to achieve the constructive outcome. He prides himself on being easily approachable, engaging and caring. His clients have praised him for his inventive techniques and for going the extra mile to ensure a positive result. Each case is unique and has its own complications and he enjoys problem solving and the desire to achieve an optimistic solution where possible.
In his spare time he enjoys going to the gym, travelling and spending time with his family and friends.
Parvez Khan is fluent in Urdu & Hindi as well as Marathi and Pashtu at a conversational level.

Shurui (Jenny) is an IAAS Accredited Associate. As a successful immigrant from China, Jenny fully understands the needs of her clients who move to the UK. She achieves positive results for her clients, treating every person she works with kindness and compassion, coupled with a steely resolve to meet their objectives.
Shurui has particular expertise in family immigration; however, she also works on other immigration matters such as settlement, nationality, Tier 2, and Tier 1 applications.
Shurui holds a degree in law and has over three years’ experience in immigration matters. She is a fluent English and Mandarin speaker.
Her clients confirm that “she was dedicated, answered all queries promptly”, “has an eye for every detail” and “treated my case as her own”.
In her spare time, Shurui enjoys swimming, cooking, and gardening and taking care of her two pet chinchillas.

Amin is the Client Solutions Expert at A Y & J solicitors.
With previous experience in working in a similar role, he has become accustomed to working in a high-pressure environment with the ultimate goal in being able to master the craft of understanding client’s need and exceeding client expectations. Amin is determined in bringing the best out of the firm and growing A Y & J’s stature. After studying business at Cambridge Regional College and then graduating with a Marketing & Business (BA Hons) degree from University of Central Lancashire, Amin has always had an eye for the commercial aspects of a business & has previously built up a strong track record of satisfied clients.
Amin firmly believes that the key to growing a business is by building on its ethos. Maintaining excellent relationship through transparency, hard work and bespoke service is what will help everyone grow and pull in the same direction. He has experience in Client Services, which has helped lay down the foundations of having a holistic understanding of client requirements.
A huge sports fan, particularly in football, Amin is an avid Newcastle United fan and also helps run the local six-a-side football team. He believes that it is important for the mind to explore and understand new cultures; a keen traveller, Amin has previously visited Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia & New Zealand during a 4-5 month voyage.
He is fluent in speaking Bengali (Sylheti).

Amy Felix-George is a Senior Associate. She has practiced immigration law as a consultant since March 2012. Over the years, she has dealt with corporate clients on a day-to-day basis, accumulating a healthy body of experience, particularly in sponsor licencing and work visa applications. Her resourcefulness in the application of knowledge and research to find practical solutions makes her someone who can be relied upon for smooth, effective, and honest assistance. Coming from a law background, Amy is known for her resolute determination to find solutions for her clients, ability to carry out solid research and for her consideration and sensitivity to her client’s needs. Amy’s clients consider her a “safe pair of hands” and she has built and maintained an extensive number of strong client relationships throughout her career.
A writer at heart, she enjoys drafting representations and thrives when actively supporting the business with the development of blogs, immigration learning materials and other specialist resources. Amy has a completed the Legal Practice Course at the University of Law (formerly the College of Law). She has also achieved a BA(Hons) from the University of Sussex and obtained her Graduate Diploma in Law from Brunel University.
Amy has a strong interest in the Arts and loves theatre and music and dance. She is a strong believer in experiencing different cultures and languages and broadening her horizons wherever possible. She loves learning about other cultures and has travelled to several lovely cities in Europe, Africa and the US. She is looking forward to exploring the rest of the world.

Hermelinda (Nina) Roga is a team admin assistant working with A Y and J Solicitors since October 2020. Nina is an Albanian national, who has lived in Greece and in 2019 she moved in the UK. Being a migrant herself, she understands the needs of the clients and it is this which helps her to connect with the clients.
After finishing her LLB in Albania and her LLM in Coventry University, she is now studying the GDL course and is focusing on her path to becoming a Solicitor. Her passion is Criminal Law, though she is very keen on developing her knowledges on the Immigration area and hopes soon to become an independent caseworker.
Nina believes in wellbeing for the mind and body she likes to spend time by herself as well as carrying out a variety of outdoor activities with friends. She also likes gardening and dancing.
Nina really loves to expand her knowledges and learn more foreign languages. She is currently speaking fluently Greek and Albanian; she has a good understanding of Turkish and has undertaken lessons in French language.

We instruct a highly experienced immigration and human rights barrister, Mark Symes of Garden Court Chambers. He specialises in complex immigration cases. From business immigration to asylum appeals, Mark has represented clients in every court from the Tribunal to the Supreme Court, and the European Court of Human Rights.
Mark is appointed to the Equality and Human Rights Commission’s preferred Panel of Counsel and has published widely on immigration and human rights matters, including co-authoring Asylum Law and Practice and is a contributor to Macdonald’s Immigration Law and Practice.
He also authored the program for the national immigration exams for both publicly funded solicitors and OISC representatives.
Mark is in high demand as a public speaker and trainer and he is a Fellow of the Institute of Advanced Studies with “encyclopaedic… pre-eminent” knowledge according to one Supreme Court judge.
