If you are a British citizen from Jersey, you can already live in the UK. Jersey is a Crown Dependency in the Common Travel Area. There is no visa to move to the mainland. If you are not British, you use the UK points-based system. This guide covers both.

For anyone who is not a British citizen, moving to the UK means securing the correct visa. You then meet its rules before you enter.

Jersey is a Crown Dependency, not part of the EU. British citizens from Jersey have the right to live in the UK. Non-British residents of Jersey use the points-based routes. Most people who need a visa arrive through personal immigration or business immigration.
